Important: Report Buddy is an AI-powered drafting tool. All AI-generated content must be reviewed, verified, and approved by the officer before submission. Report Buddy is not liable for errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations in AI output.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Report Buddy, including our website, applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Report Buddy uses artificial intelligence to generate report drafts, court preparation materials, case law references, charge suggestions, and related content. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or hallucinations.
- AI output is provided solely as a drafting aid and starting point. It is not a finished product.
- AI models can produce content that appears authoritative but is factually incorrect, including fabricated case law citations, incorrect statutory references, and inaccurate legal analysis.
- Report Buddy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
- The quality and accuracy of AI output may vary based on the information provided by the user, the nature of the incident, and the inherent limitations of artificial intelligence.
2. Officer Review Obligation
You are solely and exclusively responsible for reviewing, verifying, editing, and approving all content generated by Report Buddy before using it in any official capacity. Specifically:

- Every report must be reviewed for legal sufficiency, including proper elements of offenses, probable cause articulation, and constitutional compliance.
- Every report must be reviewed for compliance with your department's policies, formatting requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Report Buddy does not submit, file, or transmit reports on your behalf. The act of submitting any report is entirely your decision and your responsibility.
- If you submit a report containing errors that originated in AI-generated content, you bear full responsibility for those errors.
3. Not Legal Advice
Report Buddy does not provide legal advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal counsel, and no attorney-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. Specifically:

- You should consult with your department's legal advisor, prosecuting attorney, or other qualified legal professional for all legal questions, charging decisions, and courtroom strategy.
- Report Buddy is not a substitute for proper legal training, continuing education, or professional legal consultation.
